Sabrina Milo a teacher at Fort Hamilton High School in Bay Ridge Brooklyn, was arrested for making terrorist threats.

The accused Brooklyn terror teacher was released from Rikers Island Sunday - and that wasn't welcome news for some of her Staten Island neighbors.

Sabrina Milo was set free on $100,000 bail, a day after the arts instructor was arraigned on a felony rap for threatening to pull off a Columbine-like killing spree at Fort Hamilton High School.

Her lawyer said Milo does not own a gun and is no threat to the public, but three teachers were in a staff room when she threatened to smuggle in a machine gun under a trench coat, and "settle some scores," authorities said.

Prosecutors charged that Milo, 34, was sobbing when she vowed her plan would be "Columbine all over again."

Her neighbors differed on whether they thought it was a serious threat or baseless muttering, but some of her neighbors found it unsettling that she is no longer behind bars.

"I'm worried," said Robert Morales, 47, a mechanic who lives across the street from Milo. "I think she should be locked up."

Nanette D'Agostino disagreed.

"I'm not worried," the 41-year-old mother said. "What is she going to do? Shoot my children? I think this whole thing was blown out of proportion."

Milo, who earns $75,796 a year, was charged with making a terroristic threat, a felony that could land her in prison for five years.

Several students praised her teaching abilities, but Education Department officials briefly removed her from the classroom last year following a physical confrontation with a student.

Neighbor Prasanna Gunaratna, 42, said he did not feel threatened that Milo was no longer jailed. He said he believes his "quiet" neighbor was just bluffing.

"I'm pretty sure she said it without planning to do something like that," he said. "She was probably just having a bad day."

But fellow neighbor Roy Roccasalvo argued that even if Milo uttered the alleged threat as a "figure of speech," it's something that can't be said in a school.

"You have to know when to keep your mouth shut," the 40-year-old cop said. "It's like saying 'Bomb!' on a plane. You can't say that."
