Behind Enemy Lines | David Nelson is Dating a Cowboys Cheerleader

Current Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Kelsi Reich is going to have some conflict of interest when the Buffalo Bills hit the field against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. Former undrafted free agent acquisition David Nelson, wide receiver for the Buffalo Bills, is dating the Cowboys star cheerleader (here they are together), who has been a part of the squad for the last four years.

Reich, well known for her religious views maybe more so than her attractive figure, may have no choice but to do a little cheering on her own if Nelson happens to score a touchdown on Sunday… But the cheering will have to be on the inside.

Nelson was being tried out by the Cowboys prior to his 2010 signing with the Bills. It’s probably a good thing that they turned the talented receiver down, as players and cheerleaders from the same football club are banned from dating of any kind, and the two have had a relationship for quite some time.

When asked about his relationship with Reich, Nelson told BuffaloBills.com “She works for the Dallas Cowboys and roots for the Dallas Cowboys, but I know she’ll have some inside joy if I do well,”. He better hope so. According to NESN, Nelson has an end zone celebration planned, but insists that it is not a proposal. “I can honestly tell you 100 percent it will not be a proposal. Been there and done that,” said Nelson. “I want to do something that hasn’t been done before, but the situation has to be right. I’m not a big celebration guy when I score, but this is a special situation and if something happens I’ll be looking to enjoy the situation.” The 5-3 Bills are a 5.5 point underdog to the 4-4 Dallas Cowboys, and are in search of a much needed victory after dropping to the AFC East rival New York Jets a week ago at home.

Nelson has had a somewhat productive season for the Buffalo Bills, who are looking to make their first playoff appearance since they lost in the Wild Card Playoffs to the Tennessee Titans in 1999.
