The signs of impending divorce were there as E!'s cameras rolled on "Kourtney and Kim Take New York," sources tell THR While E! publicly expressed its surprise that Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kris Humphries, her husband of only a little more than two months, there were certainly signs it was coming.
A source close to Humphries tells The Hollywood Reporter that things got pretty bad between the newlyweds while shooting Kourtney and Kim Take New York – so bad that the NBA free agent and the self-professed Armenian princess shot a scene for the finale in which they decided to take some time away from each other aka “take a break.” COVER STORY: How the Kardashians Made $65 Million Last Year
A network spokesperson declined to confirm that the couple shot the scene in question, telling THR, "We're not commenting on story lines for the new season at this point." Regardless, the network just released a new trailer for the series that certainly feels as if it’s hedging its bets toward a breakup. It begins with the narrator’s very foreboding line, “They may have the world at their feet, but things can change in a New York minute.” And then it ends with Humphries and Kardashian having a heated disagreement over their future together.

Later in the day, Humphries released a statement saying he’d like to work on repairing their marriage. E! aired the couple’s two-part wedding special in early October, which attracted more than 8 million viewers combined.
