Is rapper Too Short dead or alive? It appears as of Tuesday, there may be another death rumor circulating on Twitter, not long after the true death of Heavy D occurred, shaking up the music world.
The rapper who goes by "Short Dawg" has been part of the rap game since 1980 and continues to bring forth music for hip hop fans with his West Coast style. Most recently he's appeared on Wiz Khalifa's album with the song On My Level. Luckily, Too Short, also written as Too $hort, is still alive to bring music. He was the victim of another one of those silly rumors that gets started on Twitter. The great thing about this latest false rumor is that the rapper himself got in on the tweets to let the people know what's up. Recently he tweeted:

He also had support from various hip hop publications such as the XXL Staff, which tweeted: Too Short is alive and well, according to multiple sources close to the rapper. It's a rumor. Kill the rumor, not him.
Claudia Jordan also sent out the message to her followers, saying: RT @claudiajordan: PLEASE don't spread the rumor that rapper Too Short died. I just heard back from him and he is alive and kicking! #TooShortLives
The rap star Too Short (real name Todd Anthony Shaw) was famous in the past for multiple hit singles including So You Wanna Be a Gangsta and the appropriate track, Life is...Too Short (see video below). While this Too Short dead rumor on Twitter may have shaken some of his fans up, they can rest easy that he's still making rap music. Right now, it's unknown what caused the whole rumor. However, one would think with an album arriving in early 2012, Too Short doesn't mind the free publicity via the death hoax.
